Sky Harris

Sky Harris is in her 19th year of teaching in the Liverpool Central School District where she now calls Liverpool High School home.  She co-teaches the four LHS choruses, voice lessons, show choir, vocal jazz, contemporary a cappella, marching band, and co-directs the high school play and musical.  She holds a B.M. and M.M. in Music Education from Syracuse University where she studied both instrumental and choral music and can be heard on the Summit Record Label with numerous ensembles.  She has traveled internationally as both a performer, educator, and clinician for the last 23 years and regularly performs as a soloist and ensemble musician throughout the Central New York area, including with the Syracuse University Oratorio Society (section leader), Spirit of Syracuse Chorus (co-director), Harmonic Collective (director), and Syracuse Summer Voices (leadership team).  She is the founding director of the Syracuse Area Youth A cappella Festival (SAYacaFEST), is a two-time Semi-Finalist for the GRAMMY Music Educator Award, was the 2015 recipient of the NAfME/Sing United, International Music Educator Award.
