Nina Pelligra

Nina is a vocal harmonist, arranger, performer, teacher, and producer. She is best known in the Syracuse area as the director of Rock Voices community choir. She has also had the pleasure of directing Syracuse Community Choir and semi-professional a cappella groups Cape Harmony and Common Sound.

Nina has performed with a wide variety of ensembles, from vocal jazz and contemporary classical choirs to a cappella groups and rock bands. She currently does her best “Donna” in the local Grateful Dead cover band, Dead & Friends. As a solo performer, Nina is best known for her a cappella live looping performances and solo a cappella recordings. Her loop-based, self-produced single earned her a CARA nomination for Best Song by a Solo Artist in 2020.

At Syracuse University, she earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Industry, where she focused on choral music, voice, and music industry. Nina grew up in Jamesville, and spent some years living in Boston after graduating from SU. On the rare evenings that don’t involve music, Nina can be found reading or crocheting in her library.
