Joel Touranjoe is currently a music teacher at Liverpool High School, where he teaches chorus, music production, and voice lessons. He also serves as advisor for the school’s Tri-M Music Honor Society, and helps to direct the plays and musicals. Outside of school, he is an active performer in the Syracuse community. Recently, he has performed with Syracuse Summer Voices, and has been a featured soloist for the Ithaca Chamber Singers and Syracuse Oratorio Society. Joel also currently serves as bass section leader at Plymouth Congregational Church. Joel is a graduate of Nazareth University (formerly Nazareth College), where he earned his Bachelor’s in Music Education, and Syracuse University, where he earned Master’s in Choral Conducting while serving as graduate teaching assistant for the choirs.
